FZ-Blocks — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 September 2026
FZ-Blocks is a block puzzle game for Android. This policy explains exactly what the app stores, what leaves your device, and how to get rid of it.
Playing on your own
If you never join the competition, FZ-Blocks collects nothing about you and sends nothing anywhere, unless you write to us from Feedback — see below. Your scores, statistics, settings, chosen block style and profile photo are stored only on your phone, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Your profile photo in particular is never uploaded. It is cropped and saved in the app's own private storage on your device. There is no code in the app or the server that would transmit it.
Joining the competition
The competition is optional. If you join it, an account is created on our server at famzang.com and the following is stored there:
- Your alias — the name you choose. This is public: it appears on the leaderboards and the podium for everyone to see. Choose accordingly; you can change it at any time.
- Your PIN, stored only as a bcrypt hash. It proves the account is yours when you move to a new phone. We cannot read it back.
- A player ID — a random identifier we generate. It is not derived from your phone, your hardware or any account you hold elsewhere.
- Your submitted scores, each with the time it was submitted, and the resulting ranks and trophies.
- A last-seen timestamp, so inactive accounts can be identified.
That is the complete list. We do not collect your email address, real name, phone number, contacts, location, photos or files.
Writing to us from Feedback
The Feedback screen lets you send a message to the developer and read the answer. You do not need an account for it, and nothing is sent unless you write something and press Send. When you do, the message is stored on our server at famzang.com along with:
- Your phone's model and its Android version — so a fault can be traced to the kind of device it happens on. A bug that only appears on one make of phone cannot be fixed without this.
- The app's version and build number, so we know which FZ-Blocks you were using.
- A random code generated on your phone, which is what lets the reply find its way back to you without an account. It is not derived from your phone, your hardware or any account you hold elsewhere, and it identifies the conversation rather than you.
- Your alias, only if you have joined the competition and are signed in.
That is the complete list. Your scores, your statistics, your settings and your profile photo are not sent with it. You can delete a conversation — every message in it and every answer — at any time with the ✕ in its corner, and it is removed from the server for good rather than hidden.
Advertising
FZ-Blocks shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google receives data from your device — including your advertising ID — and uses it under Google's own privacy terms. We do not receive that data and cannot connect it to your competition account.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before ads are personalised, and you can change your answer at any time from Profile → Privacy → Ad privacy settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings.
What other players can see
The leaderboards show your alias, your scores, your rank and your trophy tally. Nothing else about you is visible to other players. Your profile photo is shown only on your own device.
How long we keep it
Your competition account and its scores are kept until you delete them. There is no other expiry — a score you set stays on the historical boards until the account goes.
Deleting your data
You can delete your competition account, and every score and trophy attached to it, in two ways. Both are immediate and permanent:
- In the app: Profile → Competition account → Delete my competition account.
- On the web, without installing anything: famzang.com/fzblocks/delete-account.html.
Both need your alias and PIN, because that is the only proof of ownership we hold. Data stored only on your phone is removed by uninstalling the app.
FZ-Blocks does not send email. Not for verification, not for password resets, not for newsletters or notifications. We do not store an address to send one to.
Children
FZ-Blocks is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new date at the top.
